Safety, health, and environmental responsibility are at the core of everything we do.
CFACE NIG. LTD is committed to a safe occupational and healthy workplace for all personnel and contractors by adhering to the following principles viz:
- Working towards a culture of safety and accident free work place at all times.
- Comply with all occupational health and safety statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements, to minimize potential hazards and risks within our projects at all times.
- Provide awareness on occupational health and safety issues for all persons working for the company, through trainings, workshops and safety drills.
- Committed to continual improvement of occupational health and safety performance through effective objectives, targets and programmes, extending to all levels of personnel in the company.
- Investigate the causes of work related injuries and ill health and take action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Employees must cooperate responsibly and to the best of their abilities in achieving occupational safety and health protection goals.
- Non compliance to basic occupational safety regulations may lead to corresponding consequences for managers, employees, contractors and visitors.
CFACE NIG LTD is dedicated to providing a healthy and safe place of employment for all our employees and for the general public in all of our operations. Our safety rules governing the workplace have been established in accordance with the safety regulations of our industry.
Safety will take precedence over more expedient, unsafe operations. Every attempt will be made to provide equipment and create conditions that will make for a safe workplace.
All employees and sub contractors will be subject to read and understand the CFACE NIG LTD Safety policy attached in our profile. Any employee who willfully disregards known safety practices will be subject to disciplinary action as set forth in this section. Any employee who has not been trained or believes that their training is inadequate must immediately notify their supervisor. No employee shall do any work for which training is required, until they have received the appropriate training and fully understands all applicable safety rules and procedures.
It is the objective of management to provide all employees with a safe and healthful workplace, apparatus and equipments, in order to achieve this goal, the following guidelines will help to distinguish the respective duties and levels of responsibility of each employee. All levels of employees and contractors shall make safety their top priority in the day today operations of the company.
While it will be the responsibility of the superintendent to insure that all programs, policies, and standards are being adhered to, all employees are required to participate in the enforcement of these standards as a condition of employment.
CFACE NIG LTD is committed to the protection of the environment for present and future generations. All associates are responsible for incorporating into their planning and work the actions necessary to fulfill this commitment.
- Design and manage our operations to meet or surpass applicable environmental laws.
- Work in partnership with customers, suppliers, trade associations and government agencies to promote the environmentally safe handling and disposition of materials and products.
- Acquire knowledge and technologies to improve the environmentally save efficient use of our processes and products.
- Formulate and implement effective environmental emergency response systems.
- Involve our associates in our environmental programs and keep them informed of our performance.
- Promote associate awareness of this policy and enhance their capabilities to implement this policy.
It is the responsibility of all associates to ensure an alcohol and drug free environment. If there is any awareness or suspicion that any employee, supplier, or visitor is under the influence of illegal narcotics or alcohol, they will be removed from the premises immediately.
Should an associate report to work while under the influence of such substances, the associate will be taken home by managements decision and such employee sanctioned for discipline and if a supplier or visitor is seen to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs such persons will be taken out of the company premises and restricted further access to the company.
This is a zero tolerance policy against alcohol and drug abuse.
